Dear Chapter Member: *In 1995 in a duly constituted meeting of the chapter, recorded in the chapter minutes, and in accordance with our By-laws, Article X: Elections, was amended to be in compliance with the protocols of Colorado Non-Profit Corporation Law. To insure voting privileges to all the membership from our vast region, the mail-in ballot was adopted. Further, the nominating committee, made up of past presidents in good standing, was empowered to research and to present to the organization, a slate of officers for the ensuing year. These protocols are standard operating procedure for Colorado Non-Profit Corporations. WCC/RMDS is a tax-exempt organization, and a Colorado Non-Profit Corporation, hence the adoption of this policy. The November 1 ballot deadline was adopted to meet the Omnibus printing deadline. We have re-instituted this procedure to comply with Colorado statute.
